The ideal candidate will be qualified to CIPD 7, people driven and able to communicate and drive through change at a senior level. You will need to have experience of working within Fresh Produce or chilled/Frozen food manufacturing. |Support business improvement by understanding the business issues, priorities and key drivers and ensure that HR influences all key business decisions particularly involving significant change for the business and its people. Ensure have an in-depth knowledge of the business to do this e.g. P&L.|
|Ensure that the General Manager and senior leadership team understand, buy into and own the people issues within the business, and then drive through improvements and changes as required.|
|Preparation, monitoring and delivery of a site People Plan and initiatives which are focussed on driving continuous improvement and aligned to the People Strategy which dovetails into the overall Oscar Mayer Business Strategy. Focused action plans will be in place which the senior leadership team are bought in to.|
|Attract, retain and develop the quality and calibre of the senior leadership team to meet the needs of the business. Ensure those who do not meet the standards are performance managed effectively.|
|Ensure that the HR Department is managed and run effectively by leading, coaching and mentoring HR team members. To ensure that all business and local HR processes are embedded in the business and owned by the managers.|
|Be responsible for all HR management including resource planning, recruitment and selection, induction, policy/practices, discipline, grievance, employee engagement, coaching, mentoring, reward and benefits, contracts of employment, compliance including SEDEX, health and wellbeing, Learning and Development, talent management, succession planning, performance appraisals, budget setting and any other HR related activities.|
|Project manage significant change involving people within the business, and having taken full consideration of the wider impact, broader picture and consequences of their actions, ensures that it is managed and communicated effectively.|
|In a timely manner, produce HR metrics to management at all levels and provide support in decision making in order to drive forward business performance. Ensure data is reviewed, trends/issues identified and action taken. Track YOY movements.|
|Continuously review the business structure to meet the current needs of the business and implement changes as required in conjunction with the senior leadership team and Group HR Controller. Develop long term view of the business structure to meet the strategic needs of the business in the future.|
|To ensure that the business has a positive employee relations climate through an informed workforce. Ensure people survey is conducted and action plans in place and communicated to drive improvement. Understand the culture of the business through metrics such as turnover, absence, grievances and address any issues accordingly. Manage the relationship with the employee consultative body.|
|Ensure that resource management activities are in place to attract and retain the right calibre of colleagues at the right time to meet the needs of the business.|
|Lead and support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation and preservation of our colleagues.|
