Job Description:

Red Eagle Recruitment (AGY) is looking to recruit a permanent Stores Assistant on behalf of our client. Candidates ideally will have a full understanding of stock control and processes. To apply please send an up to date CV in a MS Word format.

Responsible to: Purchasing Control Manager

Key Relationships: Head of Technical Services, Engineering Managers, Operations Manager, Electrical and Mechanical Technicians, other stores users, delivery companies and drivers.

Overview of Role: Assist the Purchasing Control Manager in all aspects of running the Technical stores. Offer a high level of service to all the stores stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Accurately maintain the computerised site stock management system (Holistec) ensuring all incoming and outgoing stock movements are correctly logged.

Organise, move and optimise stores layout to enable efficient location and identification of parts.

Ensure all stock items are correctly labelled and located within the stores area.

Complete weekly critical items stock check.

Complete regular accurate weekly stock checks as required.

Manage goods received from unloading vehicles, unpacking goods, checking off against purchase orders to moving stock to relevant stock locations. Accurately log all goods received including consumables such as ink.

Manage goods despatched to ensure accurate accounting on Holistec for repairs and returns as well as secure packing and labelling.

Develop a high level of knowledge of technical parts and their locations to assist stores users in the locating of these items in a timely fashion. Provide stock usage information as required.

Ensure stock is issued on a first in first out basis.

Manage non stock deliveries to ensure they are accurately checked against PO’s and delivered to the correct recipient.



Job Title:Stores Assistant

Responsible to:Purchasing Control Manager

Develop the knowledge and ability to use the site stock control and Purchasing systems to create PO’s in the absence of the Purchasing Control Manager.

Use a fork lift to load and unload a variety of vehicles and differing loads as required, ensure maintained. Responsible for ensuring safe loading and unloading of goods at all times.

Ensure work completed in a safe manner at all times, adhering to H&S, PPE and housekeeping guidelines for Thurrock site.

Complete general housekeeping tasks to ensure the stores and yard areas are kept clean and orderly at all times.

Manage and segregate site waste using correct skips and or bins provided.

Perform various other duties as and when reasonably requested by senior site management.
