Tilmanstone Salads promotes healthy eating to children

Following on from last year’s successful event, our client Tilmanstone Salads, ran their ‘Healthy Eating Jamboree’, an event to promote health eating to children.

Four Primary Schools attended with 71 children (aged 10-11yrs old) participating in five healthy food activities and one activity run by The Heritage Centre.

Ben Roddy made an appearance as Mother Goose encouraging children to think of healthy packed lunches for the giant. Tilmanstone Salads endorsed the government Change 4 Life Sugar Swap campaign, with the strap line ‘Eat Well, Move More, Live Longer’.

The event was a real success with very positive feedback from both the teachers and children. Ben Roddy was of course amazing, with actual gasps of delight when he walked through the door to greet the children.

Sam Worton, PA to the Section Leadership team added, “I Can’t thank Red Eagle enough for making it possible to hire Ben Roddy for this event and make it a day to remember for all the children soon to start secondary school next September.” Pleased we could help Sam.

Congratulations must go out to Tilmanstone Salads for putting on such a brilliant day – a great local initiative.
